For the second year in a row, Jason and Scott did the Clear Lake Triathlon. If you wanna see last year... click here.
This was jason's third sprint Tri and Scott's second Olympic Tri. For those that don't know... this Sprint Tri was a 500 m swim, 14 Mile bike and a 2 mile run. This Olympic was a 1500 meter swim, a 29 mile bike ride and a 10k run.

This year it was at South Shore Harbor Resort instead of Clear Lake Park. The swimmers set out from the fuel pier which made it hard to know when they hit the water. But, this may or may not be Jason. He was in a lime green hat.
sorry for the fuzziness, my camera was still cold. :-/
Joe, Jocelyn, Mom and I were there to cheer Jason on. Cindy was there to cheer on Scott with his cheerleaders, Reagan and Abby. Kat was there with Marion and Eliza to cheer on Josh who was also doing the Sprint. He is a seasoned marathoner and triathlete though. We also had two nesties (my online community) competing... Erica and Cassie. They did great. :-)
We tried to move around as best we could to catch them as they transitioned from swim to bike and bike to run. However, it wasn't that spectator friendly...
Cindy and I doing a self portrait. :-)
the cheerleaders. :-) Their daddy's deserve a thumbs up.
Abby was more interested in eating than in cheering. :-)
Jason setting off on his run.
the kids killing time.a little race action of their own.
Jason and Joe have a tradition of running to the finish line together. :)
Then we waited for Scott to come through the transition area and head out on his run. We found out that he had hit some gravel going about 20 mph and had fallen. He was scraped up pretty good but here he was.. off for his run.
Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, one of the medics convinced him to stop to get washed off. While he stopped his legs cramped up on him and he ended up with a DNF (did not finish). His first, and I guarantee last ever. He beat himself up pretty bad all day long, bless his heart... but he has the half ironman in October in Austin. He has this DNF business all out of his system now and he can go kick ASS in Austin. :-)
Love you guys... you all did great!
