Be... BO! And memorial day! :)

So it has always been a known fact that Joe loves boats. I do believe it was actually his first word. So... this weekend we went into Houston and got to go to Reagan's second birthday party and then we went on down to my parents boat.

The party was so fun! and of course, the babies (and adults) were too too cute! :)
It was great to catch up with friends and of course the food was wonderful. Cindy really outdid herself and even baked the cake herself. (an undertaking *I* wouldn't take on). It was a GREAT party and thank you for the invite. :)

The birthday girl! :) Reagan turned two.
Adorable Avery

Brandi and new Baby Lila

The very handsome Truitt

Gorgeous Miss Sarah

New and too cute Mathis.

Jacob and the million dollar smile.

Buddies.

Reagan... I won't get you into too much trouble... promise!
We headed down to the boat about 5:30 and I am quite sure that as soon as we turned into the marina Joe busted out with BOAT!

It didn't stop there. He continued with Boat! Boat! Boat! Boat.... he woke up in the middle of the night burning up with fever and sat bolt upright and said... mommeeeee BOAT!

We got a chance to visit with our south shore boat friends and then on Sunday morning we headed down to Galveston with some new friends.

When we got to the Galveston Yacht Basin we all got on our boat and started to do some sight seeing when we passed Fishermans Wharf and saw an open pier of sorts. And my very skillfull husband lined my dads boat up parallel and let the wind literally place it on the dock. It was a spectacular show of boat driving. :) And all with an audience at the restaurant.

The new friends we boated with, Shila and Harold and their three children. Mason (20), Kat (14) and Luca (5). Pictured below is Kat and Luca with Joe.

We had such a great time. They are a fascinating couple with fun fun stories. We sat around, enjoyed some wine and then headed to dinner. Jason stayed back on the boat with Joe (who still wasn't feeling well) and I got to go to dinner with the family. :)
Shore. The below pic was of Joe being silly. (of course).

This video was taken on Monday morning... Joe was walking around saying BE BO! BE BO! BE BO! (big boat). And then would bust out with ... "that's a very BE BO!" too funny. He was literally in hog heaven. :) So long as he doesn't end up on "deadliest Catch".

We finally headed home about 3:00 to Fort worth ... got home about 8:30... oye!
It was so worth it though! :)

We had our two year appointment today and he is in the 21st percentile for weight and 78th for height. has hit all of his milestones and aside from a sore throat and this bout of sickness is perfect (of course!). :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial day and remembered all those that fought for our freedoms. :)

God bless!

Deux!

Dear Joe,
Two years ago I was sitting in our doctors office and he was just telling us to go ahead and come on over to the hospital. Today was the day. I remember thinking... what a birthday present! :) Your daddy's first response was Oh &*^%! (too funny).

I remember being both terrified and excited. I remember being exhausted and exhilarated. I remember being in love and ready, and so not ready all at the same time.

I had seen your beautiful little 4D photo's and had seden you smiling. But, I had all of these wonders. What would you be like? Who would you look like? etc etc etc.

And what's funny is that you are so JOE! You look like Joe. You act like Joe and you still smile all the time... even like in the womb. You have definitely gotten a few traits from all of us... but you are so unique. You're smart. You're funny. You're snuggly. You love people and animals. You have a temper which tells me you won't let people walk all over you. You already have a sense of right and wrong (and sometimes when you know you're wrong... you blow raspberries at me anyway).

These last two years have been so so so much fun, my little angel!

I can't wait (although I really can) to see what's next. :)

I love you my little one.

I would say that he is growing into an amazing little man. I asked him tonight... Joe, how old are you? He looked at me and with a wee bit of coaching, he held up five two fingers and said... doo "Deux". He's so smart! :)

80's Rap Music.... huh?

So... Joe loves to play in the "goo" otherwise known as the car, Jason's car to be more specific.
Jason turns the car on (so that the AC and music are going) and Joe plays while Jason sits there. Well yesterday... Jason got out and shut the door (to get something to clean it) and somehow Joe locked the door.

I hear an OH NO and Jason says Joe's locked in the car.

Luckily with On Star they can unlock easily! but while Jason was on the phone with them, Joe was just jammin away to LL Cool Jay... he and I were communicating through the windows.

When On Star opened the doors... I managed to catch the following video's of him just jammin away!
:)
So... he doesn't like my music... but he LOVES 80's rap... go figure.

Joe's 2nd Birthday party

So, I cannot believe it... Joe turns two on Friday. So, we had our 2nd birthday party on saturday. And of course, the weather was great leading up and great afterwards and HORRIBLE the day of. :(

But, I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends. Everyone said... don't worry about the weather! We'll have a great time anyway! Some of my houston friends came up... some of my fort worth friends came in, family was here. We even had a friend from kansas who was in the area stop by. :)

Our 2:00 pm, 2 year olds birthday party... lasted eight hours. :) There was about 2 1/2 cases of beer, 8 bottles of red wine, 2 bottles of white wine and a bottle and a half of whiskey that magically disappeared. :)

not to mention... a Cheese tray, spinach dip, fruit tray, veggie tray, Red pepper hummus/turkey wraps, Buffalo chicken cheese balls, chips, dips, hot dogs and CAKE that was enjoyed by all.

A day in pictures.
